114 robots are working on dairy farms in Kaluga region

The volume of production of gross agricultural output on farms of all categories exceeded 37.5 billion rubles in 2016. State support of the agricultural sector from the Federal, regional and municipal budgets amounted to 3 billion rubles.

At the end of last year the volume of milk production in all categories of farms increased by 6%, in the agricultural organizations – by 7.5%. Robotics in the dairy industry has enabled the small business to become a full market participant. Currently there are 114 robots on 30 farms in the region. With the aim of further introduction of the unique technology it was decided to extend the program "100 robotic farms", reports the press service of Kaluga government.

Over five years 186 farms participated in programs of development of family livestock farms and support of beginning farmers. For this purpose more than half a billion of budgetary funds was spent. Among the priority tasks of development of agro-industrial complex of the region are attracting investment, staffing of the industry and social development of rural areas.
