15% increase in demand for milk is annually provided by the program “School milk”
"On average, it turns out that the growth in demand (annually within the framework of this program - IF) is 15%, this is happening against the background of the falling consumption of milk in the country as a whole. If we are talking about increasing of milk consumption in the country, these figures may be higher", she said.
She noted that the loyalty of the consumer to the local manufacturer "ensures the growth of demand for its products by 10%". "And when people understand that the manufacturer takes a social burden participating in such projects as" School milk", the consumption of products is growing even more", said O. Panova.
According to the project manager, the estimated amount of state funding to support the program in Russia is 15 billion rubles a year.
"The regions have all the powers to implement their regional programs, including the program "School milk". There are no exact calculations on financing of regional programs, but in Bashkiria it costs about 600 million rubles a year to provide children of 1-4 classes with milk",- she specified.
The program “School milk” has been implemented in Russia since 2005 in almost 50 regions of the country. According to the developers of the project, its implementation will allow selling additionally 0.5 million tons of milk per year.
