15 livestock facilities have been put into operation in Nizhny Novgorod region since the beginning of the year

‘Despite the difficult economic situation, the implementation of investment projects in agriculture continues. Only since the beginning of this year, nine livestock facilities have been reconstructed on the farms of the region, and six have been built from scratch. Three more facilities are planned to be commissioned by the end of the year,’ explained Gleb Nikitin.

The head of the region specified that these projects were implemented as part of the regional program aimed at developing dairy cattle breeding. About 150 million rubles of subsidies were received by farms to compensate for part of the costs incurred during the construction of facilities.

‘New livestock facilities allow agricultural enterprises to increase production, improve its quality and, as a result, receive additional income. For example, since the beginning of this year, agricultural organizations and farms have produced more than 480 thousand tons of milk, which is 4 percent more than in 2019,’ said Gleb Nikitin.

The Governor stressed that the annual growth of milk production in the region contributes to an increase in the production of dairy products and the expansion of the range.

According to the regional Ministry of agriculture, in 2020, livestock facilities for 230 head of cattle were reconstructed in the Agricultural production cooperative Khokhloma, for 340 head — at the Breeding plant named after Lenin, for 100 head - in the Agricultural production cooperative Seminsky (Kovernino district), for 205 head - in the Agricultural production cooperative Shagaevsky (Pochinki district), for 1200 head — in the Agricultural production cooperative Bereznyaki (Gagino district), two facilities for 400 head each - in the Agricultural production cooperative Dubensky (Vad district), for 330 heads - in LLC Breeding plant Pushkinskoe (Bolshoye Boldino district), for 100 head - in the peasant farm holding of A.M. Bakhtin (Sharanga district).

Facilities for 800 head were built in JSC Tepelevo (Dalnee Konstantinovo district), for 256 head — in LLC Rodnik (Vad district), for 280 goal - in JSC Il'ino-Zaborskoye (Semenov city district), for 200 head — in LLC Zhdanovo Z, for 204 head — in the Agricultural production cooperative Deyanovsky (Pil’na district), LLC MetaComAgro built facility for 450 head (Lyskovo district).

We will remind that in total, 1.5 billion rubles of regional and federal subsidies were allocated to support animal husbandry in Nizhny Novgorod region in 2020.
