34 Russians per cow

34 people fall on one cow. This is according to the Center for the Study of Dairy Market of The DairyNews (CSDM) rating of Russian regions which shows correlation of people population and cow population in agricultural enterprises and private farms. Approximately one cow feeds 34 people in Russia, the experts say.
The top-ten regions where one cow feeds the least amount of people included the Republic of Mordovia (13 people per cow, 61 thousand cows in 2015), the Udmurt Republic (13 people per cow, 113,8 thousand cows in 2015), the Altai Territory, Volgograd and Kirov Regions, the Republics of Tatarstan and Tyva, Voronezh and Ryazan Regions and the Republic of Dagestan.

Meanwhile most of these regions have large cow population but low people population. For instance cow population in the Republics of Tatarstan totals 248.3 thousand heads, in Altay Territory – 166.7 thousand heads, in the Republic of Dagestan - 156 thousand heads, in Voronezh Region – 127.4 thousand heads.
