5,700 companies participate in the experiment on labeling of dairy products
"One of the most important consumer categories is dairy products. About 5, 700 companies, including more than 330 manufacturers, 450 representatives of the wholesale sector and more than 100 importers, are already participating in the experiment on labeling", the report says.
In addition, about 70 integrators are involved in the working group on labeling this type of product. More than 2.8 million codes were issued. The Ministry reminded that the marking processes have been simplified for small businesses. In particular, maps of typical solutions for microenterprises have been compiled, which include software and hardware solutions for applying and reading codes. According to representatives of the Ministry of industry and trade, the active participation of manufacturers and networks in the pilots helps to find the best solutions to integrate the system into business processes as flexibly as possible and minimize implementation costs.
"We have a fairly wide range of products already that are subject to labeling, and for each category we gave time for a pilot experiment, so that representatives of the industry - both manufacturers and importers - would adapt to the system. According to the results of load tests, the labeling system issued 15 million codes per hour and 100 million codes per day, and this is not the limit, since technically the system can withstand a larger load", the words of the Minister of industry and trade of Russia Denis Manturov are quoted in the message. He noted that due to the marking, the expiration date of goods also begins to be stored in the system, so that the buyer will be guaranteed that it is not erased and applied again.
The Minister stressed that the purpose of testing various solutions for the dairy industry for applying labeling codes is to reduce possible costs for producers. At the same time, during the experiment, the labeling operator, the CATD, took on the cost of equipment and services. Manturov added that retail is actively involved in the labeling process.
According to the decree of the government of the Russian Federation, the experiment on labeling of finished dairy products is carried out from July 15, 2019 to December 31, 2020. Since January 20, 2021, mandatory labeling begins for certain groups, and for other groups - no later than October 1, 2021. The operator of the national labeling system "Honest mark" is Operator-CATD.
