A dairy farm for 1 thousand goats and 400 cows will be built in Kurgan region

In Safakulevo district it is planned to implement the investment project "APK "Molochnaya ferma". Today, September 1, the Governor of Kurgan region Alexey Kokorin and Chairman of the Board of Directors of PJSC "Gazprom" discussed its details with Director of the investment project Igor Fetisov and Director Aleksey Proskurin.
According to Alexey Proskurin, for the construction of farm there was allocated a land parcel and developed a plan based on the experience of St. Petersburg breeding factory "Prinevskoye", reports The DairyNews with a link to the website of the regional government.
In total at the farm in Safakulevo it is planned to grow three thousand goats of Saanen dairy breed. The first phase is designed for a thousand heads of goats and 400 cows. According to the investor, at the initial stage of project implementation there will be created about forty or fifty jobs. When the farm reaches its full capacity there will be about two hundred jobs. Costs for the commissioning of the first phase are 150-200 million rubles, the total investment amount will be about 700 million.
Viktor Zubkov said that this is a promising project because the price of goat milk is traditionally high. In addition, it is very popular among consumers. The investor said that sales markets for dairy products have been already found.
- The opening of large livestock agricultural complexes is one of the promising directions of the development of agriculture in the Urals. The implementation of the project on construction of a dairy farm will allow Safakulevo district and Kurgan region to make a significant step in this area. Most importantly, new jobs for rural residents will be created, - summed up Alexey Kokorin.
