A large dairy farm “EkoNiva” has been built in Ryazan region

In Nesterovo village , Pitelino district of Ryazan region, a large-scale construction of a mega farm is being completed. Last weekend the first cows were brought to the complex, writes The DairyNews, citing the press service of the Ministry of agriculture of the Russian Federation.
The project for the construction of the livestock complex LLC "Oka Milk", part of the group of companies "EkoNiva – APK", is implemented under an agreement concluded with the Government of the region in March 2018. Construction of the mega farm began in May. At present, the mega farm for 2800 milking cows is being prepared to be put into operation in full compliance with the plans.
To complete the complex with dairy cattle 2900 Holstein cows from Europe were imported to the village Nesterovo in the period from November, 30 to December, 2. Now the animals are under quarantine.
After reaching the designed capacity the daily milk production at the complex will be about 70 tons and more than 14 thousand tons annually.
