‘Of course, we are preparing for the introduction of labeling, the plant has created a working group to prepare for the introduction of labeling of dairy products, the main goal of which is to test key processes that will avoid downtime and errors in working with labeling at all stages of the product chain,’ Elena Vyatkina said.
The company noted that there are no difficulties before the launch of the labeling system, and the main problems in the future might include the ‘possible risk of rising product prices’.
Many participants in the dairy market note the rise in the price of dairy products as the main risk of introducing labeling. For example, earlier The DairyNews with reference to Head of the Korenovsky dairy and canning plant Igor Moskovtsev reported that labeling could lead to a significant increase in prices for ice cream - about 25-30%.
According to the Dairy Intelligence Agency, in 2019, milk processing at the Krasnogvardeysky dairy plant amounted to almost 50 thousand tons. By the end of 2019, the processing level at the plant increased by 8 thousand tons compared to the same period in 2018.
