About 25% of the total volume of Russian cheeses are planned to be produced in the agropark in Dmitrov district of Moscow region

Agropark "Synaya dolina (Cheese valley)" in Dmitrov city district will produce about a quarter of the volume of Russian cheese after the launch of production, said Deputy Prime Minister of Moscow region Vadim Khromov.

"The created cheese cluster will add another quarter of cheese production of the highest level. More than 15 thousand tons per year. That's very good. And the cheeses will be different - from hard to soft cheeses, including the ones made of goat milk", Khromov said. 

He noted that one of the residents - the company Savencia - is known all over the world for its elite varieties of cheese. At the same time, the search for investors is going on.

"I would like to note our active work on attracting investors, we have been negotiating with this company (Savencia - ed.) for more than 1.5 years, met with them at a road show in Paris, at the last dairy forum the company was one of the key participants. Building such partnerships with any investors is our priority. We continue to work with other French investors, with Rhône-Alpes region to attract other cheese producers", Khromov concluded.

On Wednesday, capsules of the first four plants were laid in the cheese cluster. The ceremony was attended by the Governor of Moscow region Andrey Vorobyov. The first residents are LLC "Ecofarming", LLC "Syrovar (Cheesemaker)", Savencia Fromage & Dairy Russia, LLC "Kurshavalskaya cheese factory".
