In agricultural organizations of the North Caucasus Federal district milk production amounted to 392 thousand tons, in the Urals - 1.1 million tons, in the Volga Federal district - a little more than 5 million tons. In the Northern Federal district agricultural enterprises produced 2.2 million tons, in the Far East Federal district - 167 thousand tons.
At the same time, the average milk yield per cow of dairy herd in the sector of agricultural enterprises reached 6094 kg (+3.8%) in 2018.
