In October 2021, the Russian dairy industry preferred the sector of raw materials for the production of a pair of "cheese + whey" and products with short shelf life. During the month, cheese production increased by 1%, despite a seasonal decrease in milk yields.
The study also notes that the prospects for an increase in the price of cheese in the United States in the next 3 months are not traced. The spread of prices for CME futures contracts with execution during this period is less than 1%. The cheese market in the USA is overstocked.
The smallest cheese remains in the last 3 years at the beginning of October are in Argentina. High demand in neighboring countries (Brazil, Chile) has reduced the costs of long-distance export routes.
Earlier we reported that whole milk powder in New Zealand has risen in price by 3%. As for the import of this product from Belarus to Russia, it also increased by 19% in the first 9 months of this year.
