ACORT reported a decrease in the excessive demand for food
"Last night and this morning, we are recording a gradual fading of the excessive demand, the population is beginning to treat the situation more rationally (IF)", - said the head of ACORT Sergey Belyakov on Wednesday in the broadcast of "Russia 24".
According to him, there are no problems with the supply of food in retail chains, and there are no problems with delivery. As the head of the Association noted, a distinctive feature of today 's retail is a huge number of retail chains, trading halls , and real competition for customers.
"What makes us different from Europe, where we see empty shelves? This is high competition for the buyer, high competition of the supplier for the right to be on the shelf", he said. "And today we see 80-90% fullness of distribution centers".
We are talking about fast-turnable goods.
"We have more replenished and regularly maintained stocks in each of retail chain than for 35 days. There are no problems with the safety margin", stressed Belyakov.
Referring to the buyers who make huge stocks in high demand, the head of the Association said: "If someone feels an increased desire to spend more money, we are able to satisfy this desire. We are able to satisfy those who (buy food-IF) in carts, even if there will be a lot of them. But what is the reason to behave like this?"
