Agrofirm ANK has launched a robotic farm for 400 cattle in Amur region

According to the government of Amur region, CJSC Agrofirm ANK has completed the reconstruction of the cowshed, under the investment project, the modernization of the existing livestock complex for 400 cows has been carried out. When the design capacity is reached, this will increase milk production by 2.8 thousand tons per year. Ten new jobs have also been created here.

The equipment for the modernized complex was purchased under the leasing system, breeding cattle were purchased, half of the cost of pedigree animals was compensated from the regional budget. State support is also provided for the purchase of equipment.

Orlov was shown the new modern equipment of the farm. The equipment monitors the condition of animals and milk yields, a separate card is set up for each cow in a special program, a voluntary milking system works here 22 hours a day. The equipment allows you to milk each cow taking into account its individual needs and productivity.

‘This is the first robotic farm in the region. The technology is being studied now, and in the future, this experience can be extended to other territories of the region. Today, our self-sufficiency in milk is more than 50%, but this is not enough. Our Ministry of Agriculture has a task to raise this level to 80%. State support measures are provided for this purpose: we subsidize part of the capital costs for construction, 50% for equipment and the purchase of livestock. Now we have 3 more farms under construction, two are being designed. I hope the new technology will go live, and we will see more than one modern enterprise,’ said Orlov, quoted by the government of Amur region.

In total, CJSC Agrofirm ANK now has more than 2.5 thousand cattle, for the year the total milk yield is about 8.8 thousand tons of milk.
