Agroholding "Lukoz" plans to build a goat farm in Bashkiria

According to the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of agriculture of Bashkortostan Ilshat Faizrakhmanov, the farm can stay in one of the north-western regions of the Republic. At the moment, negotiations have been held with a potential investor – the agro-industrial holding "Lukoz" from the Republic of Mari El, which includes two goat farms and one sheep farm, as well as the "Sernurskiy cheese factory". "Lukoz" is the largest producer of goat milk in Russia; its owners are the father and the son Vladimir Kozhanov and Taras Kozhanov. They visited Bashkiria and examined potential sites for the construction of a livestock complex. As the Head of the Bashkir Ministry of agriculture noted, the negotiations are in an active phase, and investors are ready to invest in the construction of a goat farm for several thousand head.

- Dairy goat breeding is a very profitable industry. And cheeses from goat's milk are the elite of cheese-making. With the construction of a goat farm cheese makers will have new opportunities. Goat's milk is very useful for human health. Plus, it will be possible to supply it to the manufacturers of infant formula, said Ilshat Faizrakhmanov.

The largest and most modern goat farms are located in Mari El, Tatarstan, Leningrad and Smolensk regions. Specialists of the Association of industrial goat breeding estimate the number of dairy goats in the country at the level of one million head.

- The Ministry has held talks with almost all major agricultural holdings in Russia, successful businessmen who invest in the agribusiness of the country. By the end of this year, another 4 major investors in dairy and meat cattle breeding, including alternative types of agriculture will come to the Republic. I don't see any problems with investments in the agricultural sector, in Bashkiria there are all the conditions for investors, there is no financial restrictions for them and there is great support from the officials of Bashkiria. The most important thing we need ambitious and initiative investors willing to work for the long term, - said the Minister of agriculture of Bashkiria.
