Alexander Tkachev: we want to create a single system of control and supervision

- You know that the Rosselkhoznadzor controls only the cultivation of products, mainly raw materials. Both in cattle breeding and crop production. And processing, wholesale warehouses, retail chains are controlled by Rospotrebnadzor. We believe that the system is viable, of course, but ineffective. We want to create a single system of control and supervision, as it happens in many developed countries, - said Alexander Tkachev at a briefing.

According to Tkachev, the Ministry sees a lot of falsification, a lot of gray schemes, including the problem of re-export of banned products.

According to the Minister, the technical regulations, marking requirements and so on are violated up to 20-30%.

- We have to fight this. Of course, the Ministry of agriculture is extremely interested in this, because there are charlatans, scoundrels who destroy the market. In particular, when we talk about milk: due to milk powder, cream, fat supplements they produce not milk but a milk-containing drink, and the label writes "milk". The price of these products is lower because they use palm oil. And those who produce dairy products of milk, they use natural products of high quality, so the price is higher for obvious reasons. And the ones who make dairy products of normal milk are forced to leave the market because they are uncompetitive. Are we for this? We stand for health, for environmentally friendly products. Therefore, I believe we are interested so that such producers leave the agricultural market and normal, sensible, real producers of food products in Russia, that we have the vast majority of, come to their place. However, unfortunately, we cannot bring this order (and for me it is obvious and clear) without such a body, without a single control, so that we can monitor the products, trace where the milk came to, to what dairy plant, to what refrigerator, to what wholesale network. And vice versa – when you come to the store, you take dairy products or a piece of sausage, look at them to see who produced them, where they came - from Belarus, Ukraine or from the Baltic States through counter-sanctions, smuggling, and so on. Therefore, in my opinion, this is what we need, - said Alexander Tkachev.
