Alexey Gruzdev: the increase in the production of raw milk will not exceed 1% in 2022

Alexey Gruzdev, a managing partner of Streda Consulting, during a focus session on trends and analytics at the Dairytech exhibition, noted that by the end of this year, the increase in raw milk production will not exceed 1%, reports The DairyNews.
‘2021 was the first year after 7 years of active growth in the production of raw materials, when, unfortunately, the growth was not large. We expect that in 2022 the increase in milk production will be no more than 1%,’ the expert said.
At the same time, the expert noted that in recent years the market has managed to stabilize the situation with imports. Domestic producers are substiuting imported categories of dairy products, and in 2020 they managed to win back a significant share, Alexey Gruzdev said.
