Alexey Lysyakov: there are no raw materials of proper quality for breast milk substitute in Russia

Earlier, the Ministry of agriculture of the Russian Federation announced that the Ministry of justice is in the process of approving orders to increase the share of domestic raw materials in the production of baby food and, above all, infant formula.

"We need to understand who our buyer is. Children should eat only the best products, and until Russia produces D90 of proper quality, we will buy it from abroad, - said Alexey Lysyakov. – Now there are three companies that are as close as possible to the desired quality of whey: "Agrocomplex named after Tkachev", "Molochny kit" and "Molvest". "Agrocomplex named after Tkachev" supplies us with trial batches, but this volume is still not enough for a full transition to domestic raw materials".

The expert also added that the company "EkoNiva", which also plans to produce whey with a demineralization level of 90%, with a high probability will not be able to launch its production by the end of the year, as previously stated.

“EkoNiva” planned to launch D90 production by the end of the year. However, the production of D90 whey, unfortunately, will start in the company only in a year at the best. We must remember that this is not an easy product – "Agrocomplex named after Tkachev" has been working on its whey for almost 2 years, and the Belarusian company “Savushkin product” has spent 2.5 years to produce a product of proper quality", Alexey Lysyakov added.

On April 8, it became known that the Government signed a decree on the removal from the list of food embargo dry whey with a demineralization level of 90% for breast milk substitute. The decree will last until December 31, 2020. We also wrote that this year the volume of D90 whey imported from abroad approved by the Ministry of agriculture may be significantly lower than the declared 3 thousand tons, since it will require a long period of approval and preparation of transactions.
