Almost 14 thousand companies have joined the dairy product labeling system
As Head of the commodity group "Milk" of the CATD Alexey Sidorov noted, at the moment there are just over two weeks left before the start of the mandatory labeling of cheeses and ice cream, the companies are completing the preparation and starting the production of labeled products on an industrial scale, not until June 1.
‘According to the "Honest Mark" system, in the week from May 3 to May 9, manufacturers ordered 225.4 million codes, a week earlier – 135.4 million. Over the week, the indicator increased by 67%. At the same time, in April 312 million codes were ordered, and in March only 72 million. Labeled products of a number of large manufacturers are already presented in stores, the new requirements did not lead to an increase in prices,’ he added
Earlier, we reported that the Ministry of Industry and Trade proposed to soften the requirements for labeling dairy products.
