Anatoly Losev: whey is a wonderful product for export
We remind that at the end of December last year, the holding launched a whey processing plant worth 2.2 billion rubles with a design processing capacity of 600 tons of whey per day. The enterprise is focused on the production of whey protein concentrate (WPC), powdered demineralized whey and demineralized permeate.
- We have our own farms and therefore we are confident in the quality of our milk, - emphasizes Svetlana Kuznetsova, Director of the branch of PJSC “Dairy plant Voronezhsky” “Kalacheevsky cheese factory”. - Even so, control is exercised at all stages. Without laboratory tests, the milk is not shipped.
Today, “Molvest” processes about 500 thousand tons of milk a year and produces more than 200 types of dairy products of the brands "Vkusnoteevo", Felicita, Molvest, Nezhny vozrast, Fruate, Ivan Poddubny, Volzhskie prostory, Kubansky khutorok.
The production of whey processing has expanded capabilities of “Molvest” both in terms of environmental friendliness of enterprises - a closed cycle allows processing waste from cheese factory, and from the point of view of exports. WPC is used in the production of baby, medical and sports nutrition, as whey protein has a high functional value. Permeate is used by the confectionery industry, meat production and feed production. Both products are in demand abroad, while no one was involved in whey fractionation projects in the country before “Molvest”, says Anatoly Losev.
- The demand for products is much higher than our capabilities. At the moment, we are accredited for export, including to China, - said Anatoly Losev.
Arkady Ponomarev, founder of the holding “Molvest”, doctor of technical sciences and member of the Agricultural Committee in the State Duma, believes that the export potential of dairy ingredients is obvious.
- This area can be actively developed. Voronezh region, in turn, can share its experience", said Arkady Ponomarev.
