The expert spoke about the company, noting that at the moment the design capacity of DAMATE is 6 thousand cows.

‘We almost filled it out. We set ourselves new tasks, and they lie in the field of genetics, in order to increase the further efficiency of the farm,’ said Andrey Grigorashchenko.

The expert also raised the issue of investment payback of dairy farms, noting that now there are projects with a payback period of 7-8 years. At the same time, he believes that, if we exclude state support, the terms will significantly increase.

‘News about state support does not add to optimism. In order for the farm to pay for itself in 8 years, the average price of milk should be 42 rubles. This suggests that the farm will pay off on average in 15 years. Without a long-term policy on state support measures, I do not see great prospects for maintaining the positive trend that has been formed to date,’ Andrey Grigorashchenko said.

Artem Belov, General Director of Soyuzmoloko, noted that if the dairy industry expects to increase its investment attractiveness, the rules for industry participants should be formed more transparently.
