Andrey Razin: Moscow region intends to occupy the second place for the production of cheese in Russia

According to Minister of agriculture and food of Moscow region Andrey Razin, the region intends to ascend from the 3rd to the 2nd place in terms of production of cheeses in Russia. The implementation of the cheese cluster project with the production capacity of 12500 tons of cheese a year will help it, reports The DairyNews from the international conference "From a goat to cheese - it's easy!", organized by DeLaval.
Currently, several contracts have been signed with residents of the cheese cluster.
The planned volume of investments into the implementation of the project will amount to 2 billion rubles, and the volume of investments from the budget of Moscow region into the construction of communications will reach 292 million rubles.
Andrey Razin said that a plot of land of 17 ha has been allotted for the cheese cluster. As for the measures of state support, in the cheese cluster we are talking about a reimbursement of 20% of the estimated cost of construction of a plant for the production of cheese.
"First and foremost we want to ascend from the third place to at least the second one in terms of volume of cheese production in Russia. We also care about the appearance of additional specialized consumer of milk and the involvement of producers of raw materials to ensure the capacity of the cluster. We also expect that the residents will cover the internal demand for raw materials in the region", - said Andrey Razin.
