Artem Belov: by the end of 2021, the volume of dairy exports will reach 1 million tons
‘Over the past few years, the dairy industry in Russia has been characterized by an active growth in dairy exports – an annual increase is about 20%. According to our data, by the end of 2021, the export level will reach about $400 million or 1 million tons, which is about 4% of the total volume of milk processing in the Russian Federation,’ said Artem Belov.
The expert also added that in general, milk production and processing in Russia has been growing in recent years, largely due to the substitution of imports, including Belarusian. The decrease in imports over the past 7 years has been about 25-30%.
Earlier, during SibAgro, the director of Soyuzmoloko reported that over the past 7 years, the average annual increase in commercial milk in the Siberian Federal District was no more than 1%.
