"For the production of cheese and cheese products, the growth rate was 20-30%. One should not say that there are no problems in the industry, there still exists the problem of falcification. There are problems with the payback period of the projects, with the investment attractiveness. Dairy and beef cattle farming are the most difficult branches of the agricultural sector", - said Artem Belov.
According to the expert, in order to increase the investment attractiveness of the industry, there must be clear long-term rules of the game, reports The DairyNews.
"There appeared a subroutine for dairy farming, separate money was allocated on it. To ensure that the sector is successfully developed, we would single out three key factors: a clear long-term rules of the game, the presence of effective demand, it can be both at domestic and foreign markets, although milk in Russia has never been considered an export product. It is necessary to have a developed infrastructure - breeding, road, logistics," concluded Executive Director of the industry Association.
