He also noted that the consumption of dairy products is stagnating against the background of weak income dynamics of the population, while the structure of consumption is changing.
According to Artem Belov, imports of dairy products are declining in all key categories, with the exception of cheese imports from the Republic of Belarus (in January-August, total imports decreased by 2% ME, cheeses and cottage cheese increased by 13%). Exports of dairy products maintain a growing trend, the geography of supplies is expanding, in particular including supplies to non-CIS countries are growing (in January-August, total exports increased by 21% ME, growth in all categories (except condensed milk); the share of non-CIS countries increased to 14%, including due to increased exports of ice cream to the United States).
