As of April, 24th Russian import of SMP increased by 1.9 times, import of cheese dropped by 16.5%

During the period from January, 1st to April, 24th import of SMP to Russia totaled 3 thousand tons (1.9 times more compared to the level of 2015); import of cheese and cottage cheese dropped to 7.7 thousand tons (16.5% less compared to the level of 2015). This is according to subordinate to Ministry of Agriculture Farm Sector Accounting Center.
During the period under consideration import of whole milk powder reached 2.3 thousand tons (3.1 times more vs 2015), import of butter – 4.4 thousand tons (7.6% less vs 2015).
Import of palm oil used as milk fat replacer reached 279.3 thousand tons (+9,3% vs 2015) or 184 million dollars (- 7,5% vs 2015) in value terms.
