Auchan plans to start renovation of all stores in Russia in 2019

"Stores will be renovated progressively. Starting next year, we will begin a complete renovation of our store fleet. The specific terms are not fixed yet, it depends on the results that we get from the new models of stores, and investments that we will be ready to invest", - he said.

Remy added that it is primarily about Moscow stores and after that it may affect the regions. There are 314 stores of different formats are currently under control of Auchan.

At the same time, he noted that Auchan will remain in the format of a discounter, but with the addition of premium segments. "Auchan has been successful because of its pricing policy, we want to keep it. I believe in discounters. Our policy is that our range includes products of low price, but to the premium segment. We want to be a store for all kinds of customers", explained the Head of the company. Auchan has already introduced four pilot stores in the new concept.
