Banks are in no hurry to reduce interest rates in response to the Central Bank – Anatoly Nikiforov
We will remind that at the last meeting, the Central Bank lowered the key rate to a historic low of 4.5%.
"If we talk about reducing the key rate – when the Central Bank rate increased in 2014, banks increased the rate from 1.5% to 2%, referring to the Central Bank's data. Now it reduces the key rate, and banks are in no hurry to do so. Therefore, we have not noticed a reduction in the interest rate of preferential lending yet", said Anatoly Nikiforov.
The expert also added that the Agricultural production cooperative continues to actively engage in dairy and meat production. With the launch of the second complex last year, milk production increased by 2,800 tons. At the same time, purchasing prices for milk remain at the level of 2017, which somewhat smoothed the situation with the growth of prices for feed, medicine, fuel and electricity.
We will remind, earlier it was reported that the price of milk remains at a historical high. The average price for the first five months, according to Rosstat, was 26.2 thousand rubles/t.
