"Bashmilk" is holding negotiations on merging the assets with the major players
At the end of 2018, the revenues of the group amounted to 5 000 million rubles. The number of employees is about 1,000 people.
– For 12 years of work in the industry, the company has proved to be a reliable, stable supplier of quality dairy products. More than 2000 contractors in 57 regions of Russia cooperate with us. Among them are the largest federal retail chains: Magnit, X5 Retail Group, Auchan, Dixie, Metro Cash and Carry. The products of the group are presented under trademarks of "Chestnoye Korovye", "Krai Kuraya", "Dve korovki". At the moment, the plants of the company process about 300 tons per day with a capacity of up to 900 tons, – said the representative of the company.
Today, the leaders of the GC are negotiating about the merger with major milk processors. Due to the merger with other major players, the leaders of the company plan to expand markets, fully load production facilities and thereby achieve higher economic performance, explained to The DairyNews in the group.
Several major players, including foreign ones, have already expressed interest in acquiring this asset, among them there are investors who are not related to the dairy business. According to The DairyNews, the leading dairy companies of the Russian dairy market are considering a deal. Industry players have refused to comment, citing company policy.
- The convenient geographical location of enterprises both for raw materials - in the neighborhood with the most dairy regions of the country, and for markets – allows transporting finished products at low cost to the Central regions of the country and the Urals, which is an undeniable additional advantage that can interest a serious investor, - believe in "Bashmilk".
Analysts of the Russian Dairy Research Center note that despite the increase in revenue, the net profit of the group of companies is quite small. This can be explained by fast-growing business, including entry into federal retail chains and by low prices in general.
