Basic revenue of Unilever increased by 5.4% in the 1st half of the year
The basic revenue of the company, an indicator that does not take into account the impact of mergers and acquisitions, asset disposals and currency fluctuations, increased by 5.4%. The company expects that the annual growth rate of this indicator will be within the multi-year range of 3-5%.
Basic revenue fr om the sale of food products in the first half of the year increased by 8.1%, beauty and personal care products - by 3.3%, household goods - by 4.5%.
‘Measures that restrict people's daily lives persist in many regions of the world, which affects supply channels, the structure of demand for goods and consumer behavior,’ said in a press release of the company.
Unilever's pre-tax profit in the first half of the year decreased by 3.6% to 4.37 billion euros, net profit decreased by 4.1% to 3.4 billion euros. Net income per share was 1.19 euros compared to 1.25 euros a year earlier.
The Board of Directors of Unilever approved a dividend payment of 42.68 euro cents per share.
Unilever operates in more than 100 countries, including Russia, wh ere it entered the market in 1992. The company produces products under the brands Knorr, Hellmann's, Lipton, Dove, Vaseline, Omo, Cif, Signal and Domestos. In Russia, Unilever owns four large production clusters: food products and ice cream in Tula region, tea, cosmetics and household chemicals - in St. Petersburg, cosmetic products - in Yekaterinburg, ice cream - in Omsk.
Unilever shares are getting cheaper at auction in London, since the beginning of this year their value has decreased by 6.4%.
