Belarus has increased the export of butter by almost 24 %

The export of butter in May this year amounted to 6.2 thousand tons. This is 23.9% more compared to the results of the same period last year.
In total, 31.48 thousand tons of this product were delivered to foreign markets during the reporting period. Exporters earned $ 148.74 million — an increase of 18.1%, Belstat reports.
About 86.2% of exports were accounted for Russia. 27.13 thousand tons of butter were shipped to this country (an increase of 15.4%). In value terms, exports increased by 10.6% and amounted to $ 128.65 million.
The supplies of cheeses and cottage cheese in May reached 25 thousand tons. According to the results of five months, they increased by 14.2% to 120.9 thousand tons, and in value terms — by 9.2% to 467 million dollars. Russia accounted for 113.3 thousand tons of exports, or 93.7%.
