Belarus has reduced the minimum export prices for dairy products

The change of the minimum recommended export prices corresponds to the dynamics of Russian and world market.
Ministry of agriculture of Belarus has responded to the changing price dynamics of the world dairy market. The last two sessions of the GlobalDairyTrade auction ended with decrease in quotations. Since January a decrease of prices on the exchange dairy products has been also recorded on the Russian market. Besides, prices for Belarusian products are nominated in the Russian rubles and they increased significantly in dollar terms following the strengthening of the Russian currency.
Belarus has reduced the recommended minimum export prices for skimmed milk powder by 10 Russian rubles. Now skimmed milk powder standard is recommended to be sold not cheaper than at 170 Russian rubles/kg and skimmed milk powder extra — not cheaper than at 175 Russian rubles /kg.
Whole milk powder has also become cheaper by 10 rubles. Recommended minimum export price now is 230 rubles.
The price for butter was reduced by 20 Russian rubles. Butter with fat content 72.5% is recommended to be exported not cheaper than at 315 Russian rubles/kg and butter with fat content 82.5% — not cheaper than at 345 Russian rubles.
The prices of cheeses have not changed and make 285 and 290 rubles for cheese and cheese products with a fat content less than 45% and more than 45%, respectively.
Belarus for the first time this year changes the minimum recommended export prices. The previous change was made on 1 December. The new prices will take effect since March 18.
