Belarus plans to increase food supplies to China to $430 million by 2023
Olga Kotishevskaya, press secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, announced this information to the magazine Belarusian Agriculture.
She also reminded that in 2020, the export of Belarusian agricultural products to China increased 1.9 times and reached $255.2 million. At the same time, by 2015, exports increased 13 times or by $235.5 million.
Olga Kotishevskaya noted that in January-March 2021, the positive trend continued. Food exports to China increased 1.9 times compared to the same period in 2020 to $64.2 million.
By the results of 2020, China, ahead of Ukraine, took the 3rd position (after Russia and Kazakhstan) out of 116 countries importing Belarusian food.
In the medium term, Belarus plans to expand its presence in the Chinese market by increasing the supply of meat and dairy products, sugar, vegetable oils, semi-finished fish products, etc.
