DN: Could You, please, present what kind of innovations SAC company offers for global dairy market?
OL: SAC has a vision to do the best for the animal, the milk and the milker. Based on this vision, we continuously work on aligning our development with the market and the demand from the dairy farmers around the world. The modern dairy farmers are constantly challenged and their focus is on high productivity and value adding equipment. Based on the market needs, we constantly work on improving our existing technology as well as on new innovations. It is an ongoing process - and our two R&D departments in the Netherlands and Denmark work closely with the commercial departments to spot and analyze the trends in the market – and integrate them in our full-line portfolio of high-quality equipment. Our focus is always to support all our customers – and therefore new innovations adds value to both new and existing customers.
One of our latest innovations is the SAC RDS FUTURELINE ELITE, launched at EuroTier in November 2016. The RDS FUTURELINE ELITE solution is a full package of new innovations – new liner, new attachtool, new box design and much more. Since the launch, dairy farmers from all over the world have shown great interest in this new milking robot solution. Besides our traditional home markets in Denmark and Holland, the enthusiasm and curiosity around the world is great.
As already mentioned, one of the benefits for the dairy farmers around the world is that our new innovations also add value to our existing customers. One example is the Vision2Milk software package - developed for the new RDS FUTURELINE Elite. But already, the Vision2Milk software is making its own name in many countries, because of the high capacity and reliability in attachments. Our existing base of dairy farmers, who have benefited from our previous generation of the SAC milking robot, the RDS FUTURELINE MAX, will also benefit from this new software package. Vision2milk is backwards compatible - and it can therefore be installed on the RDS FUTURELINE MAX as well. Again, at SAC this is important - when we bring great new innovations to the market.

DN: At Eurotier SAC company presented goats rotary. At this moment, how many farms did install goat rotary? At what countries will you concentrate this equipment?
OL: Before EuroTier in November 2016 we launched a new external goat rotary for large herds – probably the best on the market today. Farmers around the world show a huge interest.
Today we have installed several projects all over Europe – and also in other parts of the world where especially Canada is a rapidly growing market.
The new external goat rotary solution is easy-to-use and achieves a very high capacity. An example is a farmer who has 100 places, he can milk 1.000 goats per hour.
DN: Why farmers should install SAC goat rotary? Not competitors’ one?
OL: The new external goat rotary from SAC is already recognized as probably the best on the market today – based on results from our customers – adding the most value and fulfilling the needs of the modern goat farmer. The new solution adds the most value to the farmer.
DN: On the global scale which countries does show more sales for company? Who is the leader in sales?
OL: The “global” picture is changing every 2-3 years – and the dairy farming industry is changing rapidly these years. Our home markets in Denmark and the Netherlands are important for us and we have one of the leading positions when it comes to high yield, milk quality, health of the animal and adding value to the milk producers. We must be flexible, innovative and deliver high-quality equipment. And that is what we do – year by year!
DN: How many dealers does the company have in Russia? How do You estimate your presence on Russian dairy market?
OL: Since the 1990s, we have been on the market in Russia. From 2002 we have actively worked in Russia through importers – and in 2013 we established our own sales company in Moscow with a well-experienced sales-, support- and service organization. Today our team serves more than 500 farmers in Russia. The SAC Russian staff does this in close cooperation with approx.15 dealers.
The market in Russia is constantly developing and we always try to align our organization to the market conditions.
We have a high-quality portfolio of solutions and the next most important asset we have is our employees –in our head office in Denmark and the Netherlands as well as in Russia. We are now well-established in Russia, and we have a great team of well trained, well experienced, and highly dedicated professionals – and they are supported by and work closely with the teams in Denmark and Holland. We are part of one of the most honorable of all industries, working with milking animals and adding value to the dairy farmers to produce the best milk in the world.
The Russian agricultural market is changing, and we are pleased to be part of the future development of the Russian milking sector. Today, Russian farmers are professional, well-educated and they demand high quality – and we are here to be the first priority partner to support the development.
DN: What are the global company’s plans for 2017?
OL: Today, SAC is present in all areas around the world and we have a strong network. We are growing in the key dairy markets – even during though years with low milk prices. We keep focus on the farmer and help him to make the right decision and choose the right solution. We have almost 80 years’ of experience and knowledge in the dairy business, we have the best team and partners to deliver new innovations to the market – and we have a professional SAC team and technicians who all live our vision to do the best for the animal, the milk and the milker. Our focus is to continue our journey with the dairy farmers and continuously grow by being the preferred partner. The world is constantly evolving - and at SAC are always at the forefront of development.
