By 2020 the annual production of Adygei cheese will amount to more than 14 thousand tons

Guests of the Adygei cheese festival, which was held in Adygeya at the foot of the Una-Koz ridge on the bank of the Belaya river, were able to taste cheeses, watch the process of cooking, as well as to participate in gastronomic and craft master classes. This was reported by TASS in the press-service of the regional government.

"Adygei cheese has long been known and loved in our country and abroad. Today we call it one of the main brands of our Republic, this choice has determined the great interest of people to the national product", - the press service quotes the Head of the Republic Murat Kumpilov.

According to him, the leadership of the Republic considers Adygei cheese as one of the engines in the implementation of the Development Strategy of the Republic of Adygea-2030 and is interested in the promotion of this product.

"This year the production of Adyghe cheese has increased by 30%. The plans for 2018 are to increase by another 10-12% of cheese in the range, and by 2020 the annual production of cheese should be 14.3 thousand tons", - said the Head of the region.

The festival of Adygei cheese is held in the Republic for the ninth time. The event is organized by the Ministry of agriculture of Adygea, the regional Committee on tourism and resorts, as well as the regional public organization "Tourist Adygea".
