The Ministry stressed that the stable positive dynamics of milk production is observed at the agricultural enterprises and farm holdings. In particular, at the end of 2016 at agricultural enterprises they received more than 15 million tons of milk, which is 2.2% more than in the previous year, at farm holdings the growth was 6.1% to 2.16 million tons.
The highest growth of milk production at agricultural enterprises for the year 2016 is fixed in the Voronezh region (12,9%), Kirov region (6,3%), the Udmurt Republic (4,2%), the Republic of Tatarstan (3.3 percent) and Krasnodar region (2.6 percent). The decrease in production was noted in Moscow, Omsk and Orenburg areas, and also in Krasnoyarsk region, the message of the Ministry of agriculture is quoted by The DairyNews.
According to Rosstat, milk production in Russia calculated per 1 cow in dairy herd at the agricultural enterprises (except microenterprises) increased, compared to the year 2015, by 4.1% to 5449 kg. The highest increase of milk production is observed in the Republic of Crimea (56,5%), Penza (12.9%) and Sakhalin regions (12.4%).
"The growth of milk production is maintained at agricultural organizations and farm holdings. At the same time, the limiting factor in the development of the dairy industry is reducing of milk production on private farms, which make up almost half of the total production," said Director of the Department of animal husbandry and breeding Kharon Amerkhanov.
