CATD is ready to provide dairy producers with equipment in case of force majeure - Revaz Yusupov
‘To date, we have purchased more than 100 pieces of equipment for applying the labeling code. Lists of equipment availability are posted on the CATD website. This measure will allow some dairy producers to use the necessary equipment and start mandatory labeling of dairy products with an expiration date of less than 40 days on time,’ the press service quoted the words of Deputy general director of the CATD Revaz Yusupov.
The mandatory labeling of cheeses and ice cream in Russia began on June 1, 2021. On September 1, the second stage of labeling for dairy products with a shelf life of more than 40 days began. Since December 1, mandatory labeling for dairy products with a shelf life of up to 40 days will start in Russia. Currently, 85% of enterprises from 24 regions of the Russian Federation are ready to start the third stage.
