Central Bank: import substitution is in progress, but food deficit is not avoided

Local food production has increased in Russia during the last year, but import substitution in all sectors under embargo was failed.
For example, cheese and cottage cheese production in Russia increased by 15% after the food embargo was implemented, but this is not enough to bridge the deficit. This was announced by Central Bank of the Russian Federation.
Local production of beef and potatoes increased by 25%, pork – by 18%, cheese and cottage cheese – by 15%, poultry – by 11%, butter and dairy spreads – by 6%, vegetables – by 3%.
