Construction of the largest dairy farm has begun in the Amur region

"The dairy farm will be able to accommodate 2.4 thousand heads of dairy cattle. Now the construction of the first stage has begun, it is designed for 1.57 thousand cows. This will be the largest enterprise for the production of milk in the Amur region", - said in a distributed message.

The cost of the project is over 1.7 billion rubles; its investor is the company "Luch". Commissioning of the facility is scheduled for May 2021. The design capacity of the first stage will be 15.7 thousand tons of milk per year. At the first stage of the company's operation, 40 jobs will be created, and up to 70 - by the time it reaches full capacity.

The joint-stock company “Luch” is the largest agricultural enterprise in the Amur region. It is located in Ivanovo district, 40 km from Blagoveshchensk. The main activity is the cultivation of oilseeds.

Deputy Prime Minister and presidential plenipotentiary envoy in the Far Eastern Federal district Yuri Trutnev earlier called for improving the level of food security in the macroregion through investment projects related to food production, noting that such projects should have separate financial support.
