According to General Director of the group of companies “Agrosila”, Svetlana Barsukova, in the conditions of coronavirus, the cost of agricultural production will become more expensive. The reason for this is the increase in prices in dollars for imported equipment and additives used in agriculture, writes The DairyNews.
"If we are talking about an increase in prices for products produced by agricultural holdings, we need to understand that the cost of production will grow in the near future - and this has objective factors. Often in the production of agricultural products, equipment, seeds, feed additives, premixes, and amino acids are used, which are sold only for currency. An increase in the dollar exchange rate will lead to an increase in prices for these components", the expert said
Earlier, ACORT confirmed that due to fluctuations in the exchange rate on the world market, the cost of production of food is growing against the background of growing demand for certain categories of goods.
