During the online conference "One ideas conference", organized by Alltech, the representative of the international analytical agency IFCN, Dr. Torsten Hemme, said that almost the entire population of the Earth drinks at least 1 glass of milk every day, writes The DairyNews.
According to Torsten Hemme, consumption of drinking milk is 0.3 liters per capita per day, and cheese – 30 g. At the same time, an average of 118 kg of milk per capita is consumed per year.
The expert also noted that the annual number of consumers of dairy products is more than 7 billion people.
‘There are 121 million farms in the world with a density of 3 cows per farm. At the same time, the world production is 2.5 tons of milk per cow per year. Segmentation and trend analysis are the main keys to success in the dairy industry,’ the expert stressed.
