Dairy companies are in Top 5 of the rating of the largest owners of agricultural land in Russia
The land bank of the top five leaders increased by almost 140 thousand hectares, it is specified in the message, which is quoted by The DairyNews.
The leaders are also the largest dairy companies: for the year, “Agrokompleks” has risen a line higher - from the 4th to the 3rd place. “EkoNiva” retains a stable fifth place.
“Miratorg” (+666 thousand ha) is in the first place in terms of growth since May 2013, followed by “Agrocomplex” (+453 thousand ha), agricultural holding “Step’” (together with “RZ agro”) (+442 thousand ha), “EkoNiva–APK” (+403 thousand ha), “Prodimex” (+385 thousand ha) and “Rusagro” (+191 thousand ha), despite a slight decrease in the land bank in recent years. We should mention the increase in land assets of the companies "Vasilina" (180 thousand ha), "Cherkizovo" (175 thousand ha), "BIO-TON" (152 thousand ha), and "Avangard-Agro" (150 thousand ha) over the past seven years.
“EkoNiva-APK” is steadily increasing its land bank and retains the fifth line of the rating, although companies on the sixth and seventh lines have significantly increased their land bank over the past year (Agroholding "Step’" together with "RZ Agro" – by 141 thousand hectares, BIO-TON – by 49 thousand hectares). “EkNiva-APK” itself increased its land bank by 95 thousand hectares over the year.
"Agrocomplex" increased the land bank by 4 thousand hectares for the year.
