Dairy complex of "EcoNiva" in Altai region will reach its design capacity in 2021
As previously reported by TASS, in September 2018, the Altai authorities and the management of the holding “EkoNiva” signed an agreement on the implementation of a livestock project in Altai region with an investment of about 3 billion rubles. It was also reported that the company is interested in buying land for the project, but according to the law of the region, agricultural land in Altai region is not for sale.
"We have signed a joint road map, which implies that the construction of farms and cowsheds will be completed in the third or fourth quarter, and two batches of pregnant heifers will be delivered at the end of this year and the beginning of next year."..>. That is, approximately since the second half of 2021, less than in a year and a half, they will reach their indicators", said Tomenko.
According to the Governor, the project involves the construction of a large farm for 6 thousand cows, which will give 56 thousand tons of milk. It is planned to create 160 jobs. According to the Ministry of agriculture of the region, 40 million rubles have already been invested in the project, preparatory work on the construction of farms has been carried out, and a well has been drilled.
As Tomenko explained, the issue of land for the company has been resolved. In 2019, the company was provided with land on a non-competitive basis by the decision of the regional authorities. More than 14 thousand hectares of agricultural land are leased for 49 years, these are meadows for grazing and growing forage crops. At the same time, the company will get the right to purchase land for the objects to be built, which is about 200 hectares.
“EkoNiva-APK Holding” is one of the largest Russian producers of raw milk. The company owns farms in Novosibirsk, Voronezh, Kursk, Kaluga and Tyumen regions. About 6 thousand employees are employed in agricultural production.
