Dairy Index DIA exceeded 30 rubles/kg
According to the application Index DIA, the weighted average price of milk in Russia increased by 2% to 27.2 rubles (about 0.32 euros)/kg, which is 7% higher than the price in early October 2020. Prices for raw milk decreased in Vologda and Kaluga regions. The increase in prices of milk was observed in Altai, Moscow, Voronezh and Yaroslavl regions.
It is worth reminding that to get access to information about the prices for raw milk in all regions of Russia, users need to be registered on the page of Index DIA and enter current data on the price of raw milk.

The import price index increased by 0.3% to 37.76 rubles (about 0.45 euros)/kg, compared to October 2020, the indicator is 10.9% higher. The key factor in the growth of the indicator was the increase in prices for exchange-traded products. At the auction of Trigona Dairy Trade, the prices of butter and skimmed milk powder increased; the price of whey powder decreased, the price of cheese remained at the level of the previous auction. The price of butter, taking into account the strengthening of the ruble compared to the previous auction, increased by 4.7% to 383.6 rubles (4.54 euros)/kg, the price of cheddar decreased by 1.05% to 328.8 rubles (about 3.89 euros)/kg, the price of skimmed milk powder increased by 0.8% to 231.8 rubles (about 2.74 euros)/kg. The price of whey powder decreased by 3% to 84.3 rubles (about 1.00 euros)/kg.
The import price of a pair of skimmed milk powder + butter increased by 0.7% to 42.54 rubles (about 0.50 euros)/kg (1 kg in terms of milk). The import price of a pair of cheese + whey decreased by 0.2% to 34.24 rubles (about 0.41 euros)/kg. The price of whole milk powder remained at the level of 30.52 rubles (about 0.36 euros)/kg.

Dairy Index DIA
Dairy Index DIA is calculated based on two key indicators, the weighted average price of milk in the Russian regions and the import price index. To calculate the weighted average price, the Agency developed and launched a crowdsourcing application Index DIA, which allows accumulating current data on the prices of raw milk in Russian regions from direct market participants, producers and processors of milk. The import price index is determined based on the prices of key exchange dairy products – skimmed milk powder, whole milk powder, butter, cheese and whey powder. The prices of imported dairy products are based on the prices of dairy products of the Belarusian universal commodity exchange (BUCE) and the prices at the sites of Trigona Dairy Trade and GlobalDairyTrade.
