Dairy Index DIA has decreased to 25.43 rubles (about 0.36 euros)/kg
According to the application Index DIA the weighted average price of milk in Russia last week increased by 0.08% to 24.28 rubles (about 0.34 euros)/kg, which is 13.25% higher than the price in July 2018. The rise in prices for raw milk was observed in the Stavropol, Samara and Moscow regions. Prices for raw milk decreased in Krasnodar, Voronezh and Tyumen regions.

The import price index decreased by 1.18% compared to last week to 28.42 rubles (about 0.40 euros)/kg, compared to July 2018, the growth rate was 4.4%. The decline in import prices was due to the strengthening of the ruble. At the auction of BUCE the price of skim milk powder decreased by 3.2% to 150 rubles (about 2.12 euros)/kg. At the auction of Trigona Dairy Trade prices for exchange-traded dairy products remained at the level of last trading. The price of butter taking into consideration the strengthening of the ruble declined by 0.44% to 228.5 rubles (about 3.23 euros)/kg, the price of cheddar cheese fell to 214.4 rubles (about 3.04 euros)/kg, the price of skim milk powder decreased to 144.1 rubles (about 2.04 euros)/kg. The price of whey powder decreased to 43.94 rubles (about 0.62 euros)/kg.
The import price of a pair of skim milk powder + butter has decreased by 1.7% to 32.26 rubles (about 0.46 euros)/kg (1 kg in terms of milk). The import price of a pair of cheese + whey has decreased by 0.37% to 24.26 rubles (about 0.34 euros)/kg. The price of whole milk powder remained at the level of 22.94 rubles (about 0.32 euros)/kg.
The new value of Dairy Index DIA will be published on August 5, 2019.

Dairy Index DIA
Dairy Index DIA is calculated based on two key indicators, the weighted average price of milk in the Russian regions and the Index of import price. To calculate the weighted average price, the Center developed and launched a crowdsourcing application Index DIA, which allows accumulating current data on the prices of raw milk in the Russian regions from direct market participants, producers and processors of milk. The Index of import price is determined based on the prices of key exchange dairy products – skim milk powder, whole milk powder, butter, cheese and whey powder. The prices of imported dairy products are based on the prices of dairy products of the Belarusian universal commodity exchange (BUCE) and the prices at the sites of Trigona Dairy Trade and GlobalDairyTrade.
