Dairy Index DIA rose to 25.75 rubles (about 0.35 euros)/kg
According to the application Index DIA the weighted average price of milk in Russia last week increased by 0.4% to 24.52 rubles (about 0.33 euros)/kg, which is 12.7% higher than the price in early June 2018. In some regions the price of raw milk continues to decline, for example, last week the price of milk decreased in Altai, Krasnoyarsk, Kirov and Voronezh regions. In some regions, for example, in Leningrad, Yaroslavl regions and the Udmurt Republic prices have risen.

The import price index rose by 0.21% to 29.17 rubles (about 0.40 euros)/kg compared to last week; compared to June 2018 the growth was 6.3%. At the auction of BUCE the price of butter has increased, the growth was 0.5% to 378.3 rubles (about 5.16 euros)/kg. At the auction of Trigona Dairy Trade the price of butter has decreased, the price of skim milk powder has increased, the price of cheese and whey powder remained at the level of previous trades. The price of butter, taking into account the weakening of the ruble fell by 3.11% to 267.96 rubles (about 3.66 euros)/kg, the price of cheddar grew by 0.8% to 228.13 rubles (about 3.12 euros)/kg, the price of skim milk powder has increased by 3.3% to 152.1 rubles (about 2.08 euros)/kg. The price of whey powder has increased by 0.8% to 54.3 rubles (about 0.74 euros)/kg.
The import price of a pair of skim milk powder + butter has decreased by 0.2% to 32.76 rubles (about 0.45 euros)/kg (1 kg in terms of milk). The import price of a pair of cheese + whey has increased by 0.8% to 25.51 rubles (about 0.35 euros)/kg. The price of whole milk powder remained at the level of 23.59 rubles (about 0.32 euros)/kg.

Dairy Index DIA
Dairy Index DIA is calculated based on two key indicators, the weighted average price of milk in the Russian regions and the Index of import price. To calculate the weighted average price, the Center developed and launched a crowdsourcing application Index DIA, which allows accumulating current data on the prices of raw milk in the Russian regions from direct market participants, producers and processors of milk. The Index of import price is determined based on the prices of key exchange dairy products – skim milk powder, whole milk powder, butter, cheese and whey powder. The prices of imported dairy products are based on the prices of dairy products of the Belarusian universal commodity exchange (BUCE) and the prices at the sites of Trigona Dairy Trade and GlobalDairyTrade.
