Dairy Index RDRC declined to 23.14 rubles (about 0.29 Euro)/kg
According to the application Index RDRC last week the weighted average price of milk in Russia increased by 0.19% to 21.32 rubles (about 0.27 Euro)/ kg, which is 8.22% lower than the price in September 2017.

Last week the index of import price decreased by 0.68% to 29.26 rubles (about 0.37 Euro)/kg, this is 0.5% higher than in September 2017. At the auction Trigona Dairy Trade the price of butter, cheese and whey powder decreased, the price of skim milk powder remained at the same level, while the ruble rate on the day of trading decreased compared to last week. The price of butter at the rate of the ruble fell by 5.2% to 398.85 rubles (about 5.02 Euro)/kg, the price of cheese decreased by 0.97% to 267.23 rubles (about 3.37 Euro)/kg. The price for skim milk rose by 0.5% to 131.6 rubles (about 1.66 Euro)/kg, the price of whey powder decreased by 0.77% to 61.8 rubles (about 0.78 Euro)/kg.
The import price of a pair of skim milk powder + butter has decreased by 0.48% to 28.97 rubles (about 0.36 Euro)/kg (1 kg in terms of milk). The import price of a pair of cheese + whey decreased 0.9% to 29.58 rubles (about 0.37 Euro)/kg. The price of whole milk powder remained at the level of 22.48 rubles (about 0.28 Euro)/kg.
The new value of Dairy Index RDRC will be published on September 24, 2018.
Dairy Index RDRC
Dairy Index RDRC is calculated based on two key indicators, the weighted average price of milk in the Russian regions and the Index of import price. To calculate the weighted average price, the Center developed and launched a crowdsourcing application Index RDRC, which allows accumulating current data on the prices of raw milk in the Russian regions from direct market participants, producers and processors of milk. The Index of import price is determined based on the prices of key exchange dairy products – skim milk powder, whole milk powder, butter, cheese and whey powder. The prices of imported dairy products are based on the prices of dairy products of the Belarusian universal commodity exchange (BUCE) and the prices at the sites of Trigona Dairy Trade and GlobalDairyTrade.
