Dairy Index RDRC decreased to 22,72 rubles/kg
At the same time, according to the application Index RDRC, the weighted average price of milk in Russia amounted to 21.41 rubles/kg, which is 0.05% higher than the price at the beginning of last week and 6.06% lower than the price in July 2017.

The Index of import price increased last week by 0.37% to 27.22 rubles/kg, which is 6.23% lower than in July 2017. A key factor in the growth of the Index of import price was the weakening of the ruble and the rise in the price of butter. At the auction Trigona Dairy Trade prices for all key stock dairy products remained at the same level, only butter has increased in price. The price of butter taking into account the rate of the ruble grew by 2.05% to 393.12 rubles/kg, the price of cheese rose by 1.1% to 242.48 rubles/kg. The price of skimmed milk powder has grown to 106.55 rubles/kg. The price of whey powder increased up to 52.17 rubles/kg.
At the 216th trading of GDT (Global Dairy Trade) of July 17, 2018, the price index for dairy products decreased by 1.7%, prices fell for almost all exchange dairy products, except for skimmed milk powder and whole milk powder. The price of whole milk powder in rubles amounted to 185 rubles / kg.
According to the latest data, the share of the Index of import price decreased to 22.58% in the formula for calculating Dairy Index RDRC due to the growth of raw milk production in the Russian market and a decrease in the volume of import of dairy products recalculated for milk.
In addition, the share of cheaper Belarusian butter has increased in the formula for calculating the Index of import price, but the share of more expensive Belarusian skimmed milk powder has decreased. In this regard, the price of import of a pair of skimmed milk powder + butter decreased by 2.02% to 27.6 rubles/kg (1 kg recalculated for milk milk). At the same time, the price of import of a pair Cheese + Whey increased by 1.1% to 26.95 rubles / kg. The price of whole milk powder has increased by 4.6% to 22.94 rubles/kg.

Dairy Index RDRC
Dairy Index RDRC is calculated based on two key indicators, the weighted average price of milk in the Russian regions and the Index of import price. To calculate the weighted average price, the Center developed and launched a crowdsourcing application Index RDRC, which allows accumulating current data on the prices of raw milk in the Russian regions from direct market participants, producers and processors of milk. The Index of import price is determined based on the prices of key exchange dairy products – skimmed milk powder, whole milk powder, butter, cheese and whey powder. The prices of imported dairy products are based on the prices of dairy products of the Belarusian universal commodity exchange (BUCE) and the prices at the sites of Trigona Dairy Trade and GlobalDairyTrade.
