Dairy Index RDRC decreased to 23.06 rubles (about 0.30 euro)/kg
According to the application Index RDRC weighted average price of milk in Russia last week rose by 0.38% to 21.40 rubles (about 0.28 euro)/kg, which is 8.12% lower than the price in September 2017.

The import price index last week fell by 2.19% to 28.62 rubles (about 0.37 euro)/kg, which is 1.45% lower than at the end of September 2017. At the auction Trigona Dairy Trade the price of skim milk powder and cheese fell, the price of whey powder increased, the price of butter remained at the level of previous trading, the ruble strengthened over the week. The price of butter at the rate of the ruble fell by 2.53% to 388.76 rubles (about 5.00 euro)/kg, the price of cheese decreased by 3.98% to 256.58 rubles (about 3.30 euro)/kg. The price of skim milk powder fell by 8.44% to 120.52 rubles (about 1.55 euro)/kg, the price of whey powder decreased by 1.9% to 60.65 rubles (about 0.78 euro)/kg.
The price at Global Dairy Trade (GDT) continued to decline, at the auction of September 18, the price index for dairy products decreased by 1.3%, the price of skim milk powder in rubles amounted to 188.76 rubles (about 2.43 euro)/kg.
The import price of a pair of skim milk powder + butter has decreased by 0.76% to 28.75 rubles (about 0.37 euro)/kg (1 kg in terms of milk). The import price of a pair of cheese + whey fell by 3.65% to 28.50 rubles (about 0.37euro)/kg. The price of whole milk powder fell by 1.2% to 22.21 rubles about 0.29 euro)/kg.
The new value of Dairy Index RDRC will be published on October 1, 2018.
Dairy Index RDRC
Dairy Index RDRC is calculated based on two key indicators, the weighted average price of milk in the Russian regions and the Index of import price. To calculate the weighted average price, the Center developed and launched a crowdsourcing application Index RDRC, which allows accumulating current data on the prices of raw milk in the Russian regions from direct market participants, producers and processors of milk. The Index of import price is determined based on the prices of key exchange dairy products – skim milk powder, whole milk powder, butter, cheese and whey powder. The prices of imported dairy products are based on the prices of dairy products of the Belarusian universal commodity exchange (BUCE) and the prices at the sites of Trigona Dairy Trade and GlobalDairyTrade.
