Dairy Index RDRC decreased to 23.15 rubles (about 0.31 euro)/kg
According to the application Index RDRC weighted average price of milk in Russia last week increased by 0.46% to 21.87 rubles (about 0.29 euro)/kg, which is 7.8% lower than the price of October 2017. Last week, milk prices rose in some regions, for example, in Moscow, Kostroma and Saratov regions.

The import price index last week fell by 1.97% to 27.39 rubles (about 0.36 euro)/kg, which is 3.8% lower than in October 2017. The decline in the import price was due to the fall in the price of dairy products. At the Global Dairy Trade, the price index for dairy products decreased by 0.3%, the price of whole milk powder decreased by 0.9%. At Trigona Dairy Trade auction the prices for skim milk powder, cheese and whey powder have decreased. The price of butter taking into account a stronger ruble fell by 1.96% to 332.5 rubles (about 4.41 euro)/kg, the price of cheese fell by 3.54% to 230.49 rubles (about 3.06 euro)/kg, the price of whey powder decreased by 3.27% to 55.92 rubles (about 0.74 euro)/kg. The price of skim milk powder fell by 5.03% to 117.13 rubles (about 1.55 euro)/kg.
The import price of a pair of skim milk powder + butter decreased by 0.69% to 28.77 rubles (about 0.38 euro)/kg (1 kg in terms of milk). The import price of cheese + whey fell by 3.39% to 25.96 rubles (about 0.34 euro)/kg. the price of whole milk powder decreased by 0.04% to 22.88 rubles (about 0.30 euro)/kg.

Dairy Index RDRC
Dairy Index RDRC is calculated based on two key indicators, the weighted average price of milk in the Russian regions and the Index of import price. To calculate the weighted average price, the Center developed and launched a crowdsourcing application Index RDRC, which allows accumulating current data on the prices of raw milk in the Russian regions from direct market participants, producers and processors of milk. The Index of import price is determined based on the prices of key exchange dairy products – skim milk powder, whole milk powder, butter, cheese and whey powder. The prices of imported dairy products are based on the prices of dairy products of the Belarusian universal commodity exchange (BUCE) and the prices at the sites of Trigona Dairy Trade and GlobalDairyTrade.
