Dairy Index RDRC decreased to 25.88 rubles (about 0.35 euros)/kg
According to the application Index RDRC the weighted average price of milk in Russia decreased compared to the beginning of last week by 0.12% to 24.81 rubles (about 0.33 euros)/kg, which is 3.25% higher than the price of February 2018. Prices rose in Omsk, Lipetsk and Yaroslavl regions. In Moscow, Kirov regions, in the Republic of Tatarstan milk prices have decreased.

The index of import price actually remained at the level of last week; the growth was only 0.004% to 28.441 rubles (about 0.38 euros)/kg, which is 12.77% higher than in February 2018. At the auction Trigona Dairy Trade prices for skim milk powder and cheese remained at the level of previous trading, the price of butter decreased the price of whey powder slightly increased. The price of butter, taking into account the weakening of the ruble fell by 1.1% to 307.7 rubles (about 4.11 euros)/kg, the price of cheddar increased by 0.11% to 232.7 rubles (about 3.11 euros)/kg. The price of skim milk powder increased by 0.11% to 146.34 rubles (about 1.95 euros)/kg, the price of whey powder increased by 0.71% to 63.04 rubles (about 0.84 euros)/kg.
The import price of a pair of skim milk powder + butter has decreased by 0.13% to 30.94 rubles (about 0.41 euros)/kg (1 kg in terms of milk). The import price of a pair of cheese + whey has increased by 0.11% to 26.24 rubles (about 0.35 euros)/kg. The price of whole milk powder remained at the level of 23.21 rubles (about 0.31 euros)/kg.
The new value of Dairy Index RDRC will be published on February 25, 2019.

Dairy Index RDRC
Dairy Index RDRC is calculated based on two key indicators, the weighted average price of milk in the Russian regions and the Index of import price. To calculate the weighted average price, the Center developed and launched a crowdsourcing application Index RDRC, which allows accumulating current data on the prices of raw milk in the Russian regions from direct market participants, producers and processors of milk. The Index of import price is determined based on the prices of key exchange dairy products – skim milk powder, whole milk powder, butter, cheese and whey powder. The prices of imported dairy products are based on the prices of dairy products of the Belarusian universal commodity exchange (BUCE) and the prices at the sites of Trigona Dairy Trade and GlobalDairyTrade.
